Since you can find desendants of Frank and Margaret Monahan all over town, I was wondering how many high schools have benefited from having us attend. Click on the comments to let us know.
I'll start. I'm Pat Monahan and I went to 9th grade at Roger Bacon High School and finished at Aiken High School. From Bacon to Aiken.
At Bacon the freshman had lockers in the balcony of the gym. Above our lockers were lights covered by a metal grid to keep basketballs from breaking the lights. As a joke we would take the combination locks from friends and lock them onto the grid. It was a bit dangerous because it was one story above the courts below. I did this to a friend and right before I locked it, one of the teachers yelled at me - Monahan, what are you doing? I quickly yelled back that I was the victim and was getting my lock. My friend chuckled as I handed him the lock.
I'm Margie Monahan Hunter I graduated from Aiken high School in 1974 I remember my first year asking a student where the pool was located and they sent me across the street to the public swimming pool. I learned that day not to ask a student for directions.
